Stone Shape Round

Description

Half pearls and half chain, with a toggle at the front: the pearls carry the softness and the chain carries the edge. Let the bar hang below the ring and it becomes a drop.

Round freshwater pearls, 5.5 mm, are strung along one half of the necklace, and a flat curb chain of sterling silver, 4.7 mm wide, forms the other. A toggle clasp closes it at the front.

Sterling silver with freshwater pearls, polished finish, toggle clasp. Pearls 5.5 mm, chain 4.7 mm wide, 18 inches long. Approximate weight 14.91 grams.

Understanding Cut

Cut refers to how precisely a diamond's facets are shaped and angled — it's the single biggest factor in how much a diamond sparkles. A well-cut diamond reflects light back through the top, creating brightness and fire; a poorly cut one can look dull even with excellent color and clarity.

GradeWhat It Means
Excellent / IdealReflects nearly all light that enters. Maximum brightness and fire.
Very GoodReflects most light entering the stone. Excellent sparkle at a better value.
GoodReflects a majority of light. Attractive brilliance, still a strong choice.
Fair / PoorLight escapes through the sides or bottom rather than reflecting back. Noticeably less sparkle.

Understanding Clarity

Clarity measures the visibility of a diamond's natural inclusions and surface blemishes — tiny characteristics formed as the stone grew inside the earth. Almost no diamond is perfectly clean, and clarity grade alone doesn't determine a stone's beauty.

GradeWhat It Means
FL / IFNo inclusions visible even under 10x magnification. Exceptionally rare.
VVS1 / VVS2Extremely difficult to see under 10x magnification, invisible to the naked eye.
VS1 / VS2Minor inclusions, typically not visible without magnification. Excellent everyday value.
SI1 / SI2Noticeable under magnification, occasionally visible to a keen naked eye up close.
I1 / I2 / I3Typically visible to the naked eye on close inspection. Rarely affects durability, and offers noticeably more size and sparkle per dollar.

Understanding Color

Diamond color measures how colorless a stone is, graded D (no color) to Z (noticeable warm tint). Most diamonds in fine jewelry fall in the near-colorless range, reading as bright, clean white to the eye, especially once set.

GradeWhat It Means
D – FColorless. The highest grades, with no visible tint. Extremely rare.
G – HNear colorless. Appears colorless to the naked eye. Excellent value.
I – JNear colorless with a warmer white. Reads as white in most lighting, especially in yellow or rose gold.
K – MFaint yellow tint, more noticeable in larger stones or white metal settings.
N – ZNoticeable warm color throughout the stone.

Understanding Stone Treatment

Most colored gemstones sold worldwide — including the vast majority of sapphires, rubies, and emeralds — undergo a standard, industry-accepted treatment to enhance their natural color and clarity. This is normal practice, not a defect.

TreatmentWhat It Means
HeatedThe most common treatment for sapphires and rubies. Permanent, stable, considered standard.
IrradiatedUsed to achieve or intensify color in certain stones, such as blue topaz. Safe and permanent.
DiffusionA surface-level color treatment, disclosed for full transparency.
DyedColor added to a porous stone, such as onyx or agate. Standard for these materials and always disclosed.
Not TreatedA natural stone that has had no enhancement applied — typically rarer and priced accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Email support@sanajewels.com

Which length should I choose?

Sixteen inches sits at the base of the neck, eighteen just below the collarbone — the most versatile length — and twenty inches and above sit on the chest. If you intend to layer, choose lengths at least four inches apart so the pieces do not land on top of one another. The full table is on our Size & Fit Guide, and if the length turns out wrong you have 14 days from delivery to return it.

Are your metals real gold and silver?

Yes. Our gold pieces are genuine 10K or 14K gold, and our silver pieces are 925 sterling silver. Some sterling silver pieces are gold-plated or rhodium-plated, and a small number combine sterling silver with 18K gold. The metal and karat are stated on every product page, which also says so where a piece is plated. All pieces are stamped with the corresponding metal marking.

Will sterling silver tarnish?

In time, yes. Silver reacts with sulfur present in ordinary air, and the darkening that follows is chemistry rather than a fault or a defect. A soft dry cloth lifts it. Storing the piece in a closed pouch away from humidity slows it down, and rhodium plating, where a piece carries it, slows it further still.

Does this come with a warranty?

Yes. Every Sana Jewels piece is covered against manufacturing defects from the date of delivery, and a missing stone is replaced free under the same warranty. It is valid in the USA only, and any repair performed by another jeweler will void it. The full terms, including the coverage period and the limits on stone size, are in our Return & Refund Policy.
