Diamonds

The Four Cs

Understanding the four qualities that define a diamond’s beauty.

Every diamond in our collection is evaluated across four internationally recognised criteria — the Four Cs. Together, they determine a diamond’s brilliance, rarity, and value. At SANA Jewels, we select only diamonds that meet our standards across all four.

C

Cut

The most important of the Four Cs. Cut determines how well a diamond reflects light — its fire, brilliance, and scintillation. A well-cut diamond will outshine a larger, lower-quality stone every time. Our diamonds are selected for their exceptional cut grades.

C

Colour

Graded on a scale from D (colourless) to Z (light yellow). The closer to colourless, the rarer and more valuable the stone. Our jewelry features stones selected for their near-colourless to colourless grades, ensuring exceptional whiteness and brilliance.

C

Clarity

Measures the presence of natural inclusions or blemishes within a diamond. Grades range from Flawless (FL) to Included (I). Our diamonds are selected for clarity grades that ensure no inclusions are visible to the naked eye — what gemologists call “eye-clean.”

C

Carat

The unit of weight for diamonds. One carat equals 0.2 grams. As required by FTC regulations, diamond carat weights are disclosed as ranges. See our FAQ for a full carat weight reference table.

14K white gold three stone engagement ring with diamond band

A three-stone diamond ring — center and side stones each graded individually across all Four Cs.

Natural vs. Lab-Grown

Our collection includes both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds — the difference is origin, not quality. Where applicable, product listings clearly state which type is used.
